Howard Rosenbrock Prize 2020 awarded to ALOP’s Martin Schmidt (PI) and Martine Labbé (Mercator Fellow)


We proudly announce that this year’s recipients of the Howard Rosenbrock Prize are ALOP PI Martin Schmidt, Trier University, ALOP Mercator Fellow Martine Labbé, Université Libre de Bruxelles, and Fränk Plain, Université Libre de Bruxelles for their paper Bookings in the European gas market: characterization of feasibility and computational complexity results.

 

This prize is awarded every year by Optimization and Engineering (OPTE) to honor excellence in scientific research for the best paper published by the journal the previous year. The prize recognizes outstanding research contributions that demonstrate Howard Rosenbrock’s own dedication to bridging the gap between optimization and engineering.
