ALOP Summer School on Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programming

The Research Training Group on Algorithmic Optimization proudly announces its third annual Summer/Autumn School. This year, ALOP organizes a summer school on “Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programming” from August 13-16, 2018. MINLP combines the complexity of Integer Programming with the challenges of Nonlinear Optimization. The summer school aims at giving an overview of the many different aspects of this exciting field of mathematical optimization for Masters and PhD Students in Mathematics, Computer Science and related fields.

The lectures will be given by:

Oliver Bastert & Zsolt Csizmadia (FICO, Xpress Optimization)

Christoph Buchheim (TU Dortmund)

Sven Leyffer (Argonne National Laboratory)

Jeff Linderoth (University of Wisconsin-Madison)

The event will begin with a poster session on Monday evening, giving you an opportunity to present your own research (the topic does not necessarily have to be on MINLP) and getting to know the participants. If you are interested in presenting a poster during the summer school, please list the title during the registration process. Bring a print of the poster in your favorite layout, preferably on DIN A1 paper. We will provide the display materials.

We are still accepting applications for travel funding for students attending the summer school. The travel support application deadline has been extended to June 15, 2018.
