The Autumn School 2016 of the RTG “Algorithmic Optimization” introduced participants to the main ideas from various fields of mathematical optimization. Ranging from 1) PDE-constrained, 2) discrete and 3) multicriteria optimization to 4) optimization in statistics a broad overview was provided. The autumn school focused on recent algorithmic advances in these fields.
